What we do

We print modular homes. Literally.

Azure Printed Homes is a California company that robotically 3D-prints backyard studios, ADUs, and homes on wheels from recycled plastic — roughly 100,000 bottles go into every 120 sq ft. Each unit is printed and finished at our Gardena factory, then delivered to your site nearly move-in ready.

The approach earned Azure a spot in TIME's Best Inventions of 2022 — and it's the reason a finished home can genuinely start at $24,900. The savings come from the process, not from cutting corners.

Materials

Recycled by design

The structural shell is printed from recycled polymers — waste plastic becomes a home instead of landfill, with 0% print waste in the process.

Factory-finished

Not a shell — a home

Electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and bathroom are installed on the factory floor. You receive a finished unit, not a project.

Speed

Weeks, not months

Printed in about a day, finished in 4–15 days, delivered in 1–2, installed in 1–4. Up to 70% faster than conventional construction.

Price certainty

Fixed before we print

Your price is set before production starts — no mid-build surprises, no "call for pricing" games.

The technology

How a modular home gets printed.

Industrial robotic arms extrude the entire structural shell in one continuous process — walls, roof curvature, and chases for wiring and plumbing — in about a day.

One print. Zero waste.

Traditional framing cuts material down and throws the offcuts away. Our printers deposit exactly what the design calls for — nothing more. The printed shell then moves down the factory line, where crews install finishes, electrical, and plumbing in a controlled environment instead of scattered site visits.

The Azure standard

Budget pricing, not budget looks.

One design standard runs through everything Azure builds — from printed studios to the full-size homes our construction team delivers. This is the level of finish we hold every project to.

The best-seller

Azure 360 — the most home under $100k.

360 floor plan · 18'×20' · kitchen/living, bedroom, full bath

A real one-bedroom home. $89,900.

The 360 is a genuine house in 360 square feet: a full kitchen with dining space, a separate bedroom, and a complete bathroom — printed, finished, and delivered as one unit. It's Azure's most popular model as a backyard ADU, rental unit, or compact primary residence.

One step up

A bit more budget? Meet the 540.

Take the 360's one-bedroom layout and stretch it to 18'×30' — 540 square feet, or 50% more floor area. The extra ten feet go where you feel them daily: a larger living room, a more generous kitchen, and breathing room in the bedroom.

Above the 540, the Homes & ADUs lineup continues with the A_720 (from $174,900) and the 900 (from $219,900) — and our FAQs cover what to budget beyond the unit price.

Questions

Under-$100k FAQs.

Can you really buy a modular home for under $100k?

Yes. Azure currently sells five modular models below $100,000: the N_100 studio at $24,900, the D_120 at $29,900, the X_180 home on wheels at $69,900, the X_270 at $84,900, and the 360 one-bedroom ADU at $89,900. These are starting prices for factory-finished units — not shells — and Azure's tiny homes are available from $24,900.

Which Azure model gives the most home under $100k?

The Azure 360, at $89,900. It's a 360 sq ft, 18'×20' unit with a real bedroom, a kitchen, and a full bathroom — a genuine one-bedroom home. If mobility matters more than width, the X_270 ($84,900) puts a bedroom, kitchen, and bath on a 9'×30' chassis.

Is the base price for a finished home or an empty shell?

A finished home. Every Azure unit leaves the factory with interior finishes, electrical, plumbing, and the kitchen and bathroom fixtures for its layout already installed — the factory finishing stage takes 4–15 days after the one-day print. You don't drywall, wire, or plumb anything yourself.

What costs should I budget on top of the unit price?

Plan for land (or a qualifying backyard), site prep and foundation, utility connections, delivery, and local permits and fees. These vary widely by location and lot conditions, which is why we quote them per project instead of publishing a misleading average. Our team gives you a site-specific estimate before you commit.

Can I finance a modular home under $100k?

Yes. Azure partners with Acorn Finance so you can apply for loan pre-qualification online and compare lending offers. Because the purchase prices are far below a conventional home, monthly payments on the smaller models can land closer to a car payment than a mortgage.

What's the catch with a $24,900 modular home?

The honest catch is size, not quality: the N_100 is a 100 sq ft studio, ideal as an office, guest suite, or rental unit rather than a family residence. The construction itself is the same recycled-polymer, robotically printed build used across the whole lineup — the process that earned Azure a spot in TIME's Best Inventions of 2022.
